What are the three major factors that affect sealing performance? 1. Temperature Low temperature will reduce the elasticity of the seal and cause leakage. High temperature will cause the seal to become larger and softer. The consequence is that the friction resistance increases rapidly and the pressure resistance decreases. It is recommended that the working temperature of the seal should be within -10℃-+80℃ for continuous operation. 2. Movement speed When the movement speed is very low, the stability of the machine operation and whether there is creeping phenomenon should be considered. When the movement speed increases, the lubrication effect becomes lower, and the oil seal is not well lubricated, resulting in reduced sealing performance. 3. Working conditions The pressure to be borne in different working conditions will be different. Low-pressure work must use oil seals with low friction and resistance. Below 2.5MPa, polyurethane oil seals are not suitable; when high pressure is used, the deformation of the oil seal under pressure should be considered, and an anti-extrusion retaining ring is required. There are also special requirements for groove processing.

It should have good elasticity, heat resistance, cold resistance, pressure resistance, wear resistance and certain physical and mechanical strength, and long service life. 5. The seals and their corresponding sealing grooves should be easy to process, manufacture and install, and be inexpensive.
