To achieve a reliable bidirectional seal, the principle alone is not enough; the following points also need to be considered:

• Precise Groove Design: The sealing groove is the "home" of the O-ring, and its dimensional accuracy and surface finish are crucial. Grooves that are too wide or too narrow, too deep or too shallow, will lead to improper compression ratios, affecting sealing performance and lifespan.
• Appropriate Compression Ratio: The amount of compression deformation of the O-ring after installation is a key parameter. For static seals, a compression ratio of 15%-30% is generally recommended, while for dynamic seals, to reduce friction, it is typically 9%-25%.
