Hydraulic oil seals are mechanical seals also known as a metric oil seal and functions with hydraulic oil. They are usually produced for equipment that faces constant frequent exposure with oil. Oil seal manufacturers use materials such as polyacrylate, silicone, Teflon, or rubber to engineer them for use in industrial equipment for various industries such as heavy duty machinery, electrical power systems, construction, telecommunications, etc. The hydraulic oil seals not only prevents leaks from occurring but they are also designed to retain fluids, if required.

In order to obtain optimum product performance, hydraulic oil seal manufacturers advise clients to following strict handling and storage precautions. Avoid damage or deterioration to the oil seals by following correct installation procedures.
·Housing parts must be flushed to secure cleanliness
·Refrain from using fuel oil, such as gasoline, kerosene or solvents for flushing. Wipe off liquids completely prior to installation in order to avoid making contact with packing.
·Mask the dust seals, especially the exposed lip part, so that the wet coating does not make contact with the dust seals
·Apply lubricating oil for the machinery and grease the packing and housing for easy installation.
·Ensure to use a protective cover on the rod, threaded part to avoid contact with delicate lip of the packing
·Tools should be chamfered to stay away from sharp edges
·Make certain that the sealing direction is correct and install packing correctly
·Installing the packing
-On the piston hook one side on the groove and push the packing by extending the rubber to the other side
-Deform the rod packing to slide one side onto the groove. Then insert the whole part from the opposite side by pushing the packing with your finger. To install small packing onto a groove it is preferred to use a jig.
·Installing the seals
-Insert a back ring (O-ring and square ring) first, then hook one side of the seal ring on the groove and push the opposite side from the taper side.
-For a piston, hook one side of the ring and push the opposite side onto the groove.
-For a rod, deform a ring into the shape, insert one side then push the whole part by holding the ring with your finger
-Insert a black ring (the O-ring made of rubber) first, then deform the seal ring into the shape. Insert one side and then push the whole part by holding the ring with your finger. The seal ring shows the correct direction to be inserted. Try not to cause deformation of the seal ring when installing.
When installing this seal, the procedures to follow are:
-Install the back ring (i.e. the square ring made of rubber) in only the seal groove that is located at the bottom
-Move the seal ring downwards through the seal grooves and the port grooves
-Hook one side of the seal ring in the groove and push to the opposite side quickly
-When installing seal rings to the second groove repeat the procedure.

Hydraulic oil seal manufacturers should supply MSDS certificates for all products purchased by customers as a standard. These certificates protect the customer in the event of any defect or operational errors.
